Rental Guidelines

CAPACITY
Sit Down Dinner for 50 guests
Informal Gathering for 100 guests

ALCOHOL
All state and local laws governing the use of alcohol must be complied with.
No “cash-bar” is permitted without a valid city license.

SMOKING
No smoking is permitted in the house.  It is permitted on the porch or patio.

FOOD SERVICE
Party using the house is responsible for food service. The Lind House is not equipped with cooking  utensils. Stove is to be used for the warming of food only. Microwave is available for use. Dishes must be washed, dried and put away. Dishwasher is available for your use.

DECORATIONS
No confetti or glitter is allowed on tables. Throwing of rice or confetti is not permitted in the house or on the grounds. The house is decorated by the Lind House staff for Christmas from November 1 to January 31. Please check with the staff regarding Wedding Decorations

CANDLES
Candles must be in glass enclosed containers.

DANCING
Dancing is not permitted, as structural damage could result due to the age of the house.

RESTROOMS
Handicap accessible restroom is located on the first floor and general use restroom is on the second floor.

PARKING
The driveway is shared with the neighbor to the north.  Please be considerate when parking  in the driveway as  they need access to their garage.

SECURITY
The Lind House is equipped with a digital keypad.  The combination will be given to responsible party. The responsible party will be instructed on lock-up procedures.  Be sure all lights, fans, candles are turned off.  When you leave, please turn air conditioning to 80 and heat to 60 when applicable.

Please complete the complete and send the rental agreement as soon as possible. Agreement and checks must be sent to reserve the date. Full cost of the party, plus a $100.00 damage deposit is due at the time of booking.  The damage deposit will be returned within 30 days of party, provided the house is left in the condition it was found. Deposit will be refunded in full if cancelled at least 30 days prior to the scheduled event.

The John Lind House reserves the right, acting in its sole discretion, to deny or limit the use of the facilities and to determine whether any proposed even or activity is in keeping with the policies then in effect. Similarly, the Lind House Association reserves the right at any time to amend its policies and guidelines with respect to the rental or usage of the John Lind House.
